Jeremy Russo, along with his wife Jennie and three children Sophia,Elijah and Silas, own and operate Southwind Farm in North Rupert, Vermont. Jeremy milks 100 head of Holstein cows that enjoy grazing on the lush grasses and vegetation of the rich Mettowee Valley river bottom land. Jeremy became interested in cheese making in 2005 after taking a course by renowned cheese maker, Peter Dixon. As a result of this course, Jeremy formed a relationship with Mark Fischer of Woodcock Farm in Weston, Vermont. Mark helped Jeremy develop Southwind Farmstead Cheese. Southwind Farm is located on route 30 in the town of North Rupert. The farm is approximately 12 miles north of Manchester, Vermont and 3 miles south of the village of Pawlet, Vermont.
